The organizational structure for emergency evacuation and response within Pinellas County is a well-developed collaboration between the county, 24 cities, law enforcement, fire services, and hundreds of community partners and agencies. This report reflects the analysis of those entities.

Regional Governance for Resilience in the Tampa Bay Region

Red Tide and Blue Green Algae Combine in Southwest Florida

Not only was Fort Myers, FL affected by the Red Tide this summer, but the blue green algae laden waters released from Lake Okeechobee also polluted Southwest Florida. This article explains the impacts in Southwest Florida, and how nutrients stirred up by Hurricane Irma have exacerbated this problem.
